Lemsford Lane Unit

After many years in our old unit at Lemsford Lane, we re-locating to a brand new unit in Bridge Road East at the end of June 2006.

Lemsford Lane unit was a classical "tin hut" sort of design with brick walls and a metal corrugated roof that used to make a lot of noise whenever it rained.
Everything was on one level with a large main deck (which was home to a 4 inch gun), a boat shed and offices - ideally situated right next to Stanborough Park, it was an ideal location for a Sea Cadet unit being near to the water.
Sadly, the building was in serious need of repair and the site was required for new homes, so Amethyst relocated at the end of June 2006 and the building was demolished, but it's history lives on as the new houses built on the site have been named Amethyst Walk.
